Project Intervention undertook a Project, Programme & Portfolio Maturity Assessment for a client who manage construction projects for the Army. The assessment was tailored to meet the specific requirements of the client, consulting a large number of stakeholders including their main client. Project Intervention conducted a survey of over 30 key stakeholders both internally and externally, analysed the data and produced a report with recommendations as to how the company could improve the delivery of their projects, and their overall management of the programme. We worked with the company and their client to produce an implementation plan for the recommendations and are currently helping them implement the plan, with focus on improvements to processes, toolsets, people and data. Once implemented they will be in a much better place to deliver the outcomes they aspire to.
Project Intervention supported a young manufacturing business in the South-West of England with the development of its' P3M capability. We spent time with the client, spoke to staff at all levels of the business and undertook a review of the 'as-is' state of the business, looking at the existing processes and toolsets used. We identified a number of areas for increasing maturity, focussing on people, processes, toolsets, data and culture. We built a time-phased, prioritised plan for the client to be delivered over a 12 month period, identifying some quick-wins and some more structural changes required. We stayed with the client and implementing the plan for them. It was extremely satisfying to see the fantastic progress they made and they are now well-set to deliver their clients' commitments going forward.
Project Intervention worked with the Royal Navy and DE&S to acquire some state-of-the-art Uncrewed Air Systems for the Royal Navy. We took the requirement from a single page of user requirements, worked with multiple stakeholders to develop the requirement, wrote a contract, ran a competition under UK public procurement regulations and managed the winning supplier to deliver the equipment on time and on budget. Project Intervention staff led the project for over three years to deliver a capability (operationally named PEREGRINE) which, once in service, will provide enhanced protection to the Royal Navy and UK interests and will shape the Royal Navy's uncrewed strategy.
